Alcove units & bookcases
Shelving and cupboards built into chimney breasts and awkward recesses, scribed tight to old walls.
Fitted furniture, kitchens, restoration and decorating for homes across London. Designed, built and finished by Chris and his own small team. One number to call, from bare walls to final coat.
A selection of recent fitted work. Every piece was measured, made and installed for one house. Nothing is off the shelf: the scribes, the reveals and the shadow gaps are cut to the walls as they actually are. Ask if you'd like to see kitchens, restoration or decorating work.
Carpentry is where I started and it's still the heart of the work, but I take a room the whole way. Build the units, hang the doors, lay the floor, then paint and paper it. No waiting on three other trades to turn up.
Shelving and cupboards built into chimney breasts and awkward recesses, scribed tight to old walls.
Floor-to-ceiling storage with hanging, drawers and internal lighting, planned around what you actually own.
Recessed screens, hidden cable runs and warm oak details, so the technology disappears into the joinery.
The most wasted space in the house, turned into proper storage that shuts flush and doesn't look like an afterthought.
Desks, shelving and cable management built as one piece, sized to the room rather than the catalogue.
Supplied and installed, or your units fitted properly: carcasses, doors, worktops, splashbacks and the trims that finish it.
One-off pieces such as sideboards, benches and window seats, designed with you and made in the workshop.
Hanging doors, architrave, skirting, panelling and staircase work: the details that make a room feel finished.
Bespoke porch roofs, gable detailing and outdoor timber work, built to stand up to a British winter.
Structural timber, studwork and original features repaired or remade to match, sympathetic to the age of the house.
Parquet laid, repaired, sanded and sealed. Solid and engineered boards too, including the awkward thresholds.
Preparation done properly: filled, caulked and sanded before a brush comes out. Interior and exterior.
Hung straight and matched at the seams, including heavy, patterned and hand-printed papers.
Shopfitting, counters and premises work around your opening hours; insurance repairs documented and completed to schedule.
If it's part of finishing a room properly, it's worth a phone call. Estimates are free.

I come to the room, take the measurements myself and talk through what you want it to do.
You get a drawing and a written quote with materials and finish specified. Estimates are free.
The carcasses, doors and mouldings are made and finished in the workshop, not on your carpet.
Fitted, scribed and snagged in as few days as possible, cleared up behind me, and guaranteed.

Rough sizes and a photo are plenty to start with. I'll come back to you with a realistic idea of cost, and arrange a visit if it looks like a fit.
